Coming out of COP21 in Paris, we set ourselves the most ambitious environmental goals in the industry with a vision to become carbon neutral.
For example, we committed to 100% renewable electricity across all operations by 2020. We have already reached 100% across our operations in Europe, North America and Brazil; and at 85% worldwide, we are well on the way to achieving our goal.
Recognized as a global environmental leader, this year, Firmenich is one of only two companies worldwide, out of 7,000, to have achieved a triple A ranking with CDP, in Climate, Water and Forestry. This builds on our gold rating with Ecovadis, where we ranked second among the 45,000 companies rated worldwide.
At Firmenich we are committed to making healthier food and drink options taste delicious to tackle today’s malnutrition crisis with 2.1 billion adults overweight or obese in the world.
The Group’s latest technology TastePRINT™ can reduce up to 100% of added sugar naturally without compromising on taste, removing 870 billion calories from consumers’ diets last year. We are also actively shaping green protein solutions enabling Flexitarian diets, based on a balanced consumption of animal and plant-based proteins.
